The Board of the Fiji Rugby Union has denied the appeal by Northland Rugby Union against the FRU's Games Committee ruling which disqualified Northland in the game against Naitasiri.

The game was played on 22nd May and Northland was found to have fielded an unregistered player.

The Games Committee had found that the player, Josevata Bola, was at the time still officially registered with Naitasiri.

As a result Northland has forfeited the points from this game and Naitasiri is declared the winner.

The game was won by Northland 26-18 however Northland's points were deducted and result reflected as an 18-0 win to Naitasiri.

Meanwhile, looking at the matches that will be played at 3pm this Saturday in the Digicel Cup competition, Namosi takes on Naitasiri, Navosa host Lautoka, Nadi plays Suva, Nadroga takes on Ovalau, Tavua plays Tailevu and Rewa is up against Northland.
