The Fiji Rugby Union is waiting for Apolosi Satala to be cleared from the British Army to play for the Flying Fijians.

Manager Semi Rogoyawa said Satala is an instrumental figure in their forward pack but will have to await word from him.

Meanwhile, only 20 of the 55 shortlisted Flying Fijian hopefuls turned up for training yesterday, however, Rogoyawa was pleased with the presence of Seru Rabeni, Dan Rawaqa, Semisi Naevo, Jone Daunivucu and Anthony Wise.

National selector Dan Lobendahn said though invitations had been sent out to international based players, they would also be focusing on local talent.

There will be another fitness test for the squad next Monday where all the overseas players are expected to be present.

The PNC will be held on the 13th of June.
