The Fiji Rugby Union is still awaiting the nomination of the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama to the new Board of Directors for the Fiji Rugby Union.

It is understood that Rugby House is yet to receive a nominee which was to have come in before the AGM last weekend.

However there is still no confirmation from the Prime Minister’s Office.

The new person will replace Commander Esala Teleni after he has taken up the post of Fiji’s Ambassador to China.

The other new Board members that were elected include President, Ratu Isikeli Tasere, and Legal Director - Joeli Baledrokadroka, Finance Director - Napolioni Batimala, Land force Commander Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga, Rupeni Nacewa, SSP Salacilieli Naivilawasa and Commissioner Western Joeli Cawaki.

The other two board members are Ilitia Tuisese and Cama Raimuria while Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will nominate the last board member.
