The Fiji Rugby Union has announced its consortium of sponsors and the naming rights for the next five years.

Speaking during the launch of the sponsorship last night FRU Chairman Filimoni Waqabaca said the sponsorship programme has undergone massive review and the best is needed for the development of the sport in Fiji.

Waqabaca added this is a major step in moving Fiji rugby forward.

Vodafone who lead the consortium of sponsors will have the naming rights of our Under 18 and Under 20 teams and will share the naming rights with Fiji Airways for our 7s team and the Flying Fijians.

The Provincial Competition which is expected to kick off next month will now be called the Skipper Tuna Cup while the Farebrother Challenge will now be the HFC Bank Farebrother Sullivan Trophy.

Telecom Fiji Limited has secured the naming rights for the Fiji Warriors, Fijiana and the Island Zone competition.

Meanwhile Waqabaca said the launch will also boost the Vodafone Fiji 7s team as they prepare for the next leg of the IRB World 7s Series in Tokyo and Hong Kong.

The Japan 7s kicks off next Saturday with Fiji taking on
France at 1pm in their first pool game before they face USA at 4:18pm and then face Samoa at 8:52pm.
