The Fiji Rugby Union Games Committee will still have the final say on how Waisale Serevi handles his coaching role in the Digicel Fiji 7s team when he signs his contract today.

Like in the past, the team selection and the performance of each player will be closely monitored by the FRU Games Committee as they do not want the coach to favor any player during selection.

Games Committee Chairman Rafaele Kasibulu said this has been the practice in the past in both the 15's rugby code and the 7's team and Serevi will have to abide by their decision.

Speculation over the past weeks that Serevi also wants to be part of the team to defend the Melrose Cup was put to rest last week when the FRU came out with a statement that they will not change their stance on not allowing him to coach and play at the same time.

Serevi will meet with the FRU board this afternoon to finalize his contract details and also sign his 8 month contract with his first assignment to prepare the Fiji 7s team for the Dubai 7s in the first week of December.
