Police are now providing security to senior executives of the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) after a report was lodged that they continue to receive threatening calls and text messages.
Assistant Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said police are also closely monitoring the FRU Head Office while the houses of these executives are under police surveillance.
Meanwhile, the FRU President Ro Filipe Tuisawau had confirmed a review is currently being held of the FRU because of the increase in the number of complaints received from the public and from ex-players on the operations of the FRU.
The full report with recommendations will be discussed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in April.
As President Ro Filipe also aired concerns about the performances of the 7s and XV's team performances and negative perceptions of the FRU.
