The Fiji Rugby Union has plan B in place if their request for an extra $300,000 from the government is turned down.
High Performance Unit manager Peter Murphy said they need the extra funds to meet the full requirements of the Rugby World Cup.
Murphy is hopeful that the Sports Ministry will consider their proposals.
Murphy said they need the extra funds because their budget is quite high.
The Sports Ministry will make a decision some time this week whether to give extra funds to FRU for the Rugby World Cup.
The government earlier budgeted $400,000 to the Rugby World Cup.
