The Fiji Rugby Union has named quite a young and inexperienced side to compete in the Safari 7s tournament in Kenya next week.

Only three members of the Digicel Fiji 7s team have been retained while the rest of the players will make their debut for Fiji.

Timoci Matanavou, Vereimi Vilitati and Seremaia Burotu will be the leading hands in the final 12-member team named. Tomasi Mawi was also selected but has been replaced by Patrick Osbourne.

The team consists Kolinio Vasu-i-lagi, Apenisa Ratu, Timoci Vakadranu, Rafaele Suvinavanua, Seremaia Burotu, Aliposo Bueta, Vereimi Vilitati, Taniela Naicevu, Patrick Osbourne, Isoa Donaldson, Timoci Matanavou and Mesulame Soga.

The team will be coached by FRU development officers Semi Matalau and Osea Umu. The Digicel Fiji Barbarians team will leave for Kenya next Monday and the tournament will be held from 21st to 22nd June.
