The Fiji Rugby Union is likely to go into debt, if they are not able to gather enough sponsorship dollars for the Rugby World Cup.

Chief Executive, Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua said they need a total of $2-million dollars and so far they have managed to get $511,000 from the Interim Government.

Tavanavanua said this is a very expansive campaign, but has assured people that every thing will be done to make sure the players are provided with what they want before the team leaves for France next month.

He said the great support from title sponsors FMF, as well as companies like KooGa, Tappoos, Air Pacific, Asco Motors, United Apparel and Dahia Shoes will help them raise the funds.

Meanwhile Tavanavanua has thanked the Interim Government for the additional funds to the FMF Flying Fijians campaign at the Rugby World Cup.
