The Fiji Rugby Union will keep a close watch on the political situation between the interim government and the New Zealand government.
FRU will soon be applying for the visas of their players to compete in the second leg of the IRB World 7s Series in Wellington.
Digicel Fiji 7s coach Waisale Serevi said they are not involved with the politics but are monitoring the situation.
Fiji 7s team wrapped a one week preparation for Wellington 7s today and players will spend Christmas with their families before returning back to camp next week.
The Wellington 7s tournament will be held in February.
