The Fiji Rugby Union is expected to field two teams in the Foster's Marist 7s tournament in a fortnight's time.

It is believed that one team will comprise local based players while the other will be mostly made up of overseas based players.

This tournament will serve as a trial for the Fiji 7s team to the World Cup 7s tournament in Dubai next month.

FRU's Chairman of selectors, Ilivasi Tabua also confirmed earlier that they have contacted overseas based players to attend the tournament and the trials, if they want to be part of the 12 member team to defend the Melrose Cup.

The Marist 7s tournament will be held on the 20th and 21st of February.
