The Fiji Rugby Union has appointed their former Development officer to take charge of the High Performance Unit from next season.
Doctor Daniel Lobendahn Wood will replace Peter Murphy as High performance unit manager from 5th January 2009.
FRU Chief Executive Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua said Wood is no stranger to Fiji rugby and has assisted the FRU and the HPU in the past including developing fitness and selection standards for the Flying Fijians.
Wood is appointed for a two-year term.
