The Fiji Rugby Union and International Rugby Board’s relationship will not be affected by the IRB’s decision to suspend their direct funding to FRU.
When asked whether FRU’s decision not to implement some recommendations by the IRB after their review last year will have some consequences for Fiji, FRU Acting CEO Dr Berlin Kafoa said they have been assured by IRB that nothing of this sort will happen.
Dr Kafoa added everything will work out if they do the right thing first.
Dr Kafoa added they are aiming to implement the recommendations by IRB in May this year before another review is carried out.
He also said their staffing will not be affected by IRB’s suspended funding.
