A parcel containing Methamphetamine has been intercepted by Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority officers at the Suva Post Office.
The illicit drug which was concealed inside a shampoo bottle was sent from the United States and was addressed to a local woman.
The FRCA Intelligence team was informed of the drugs early this month.
FRCA says the woman went to the Post Office to collect the parcel. However, she fled when questioned by Customs Officers.
She was later identified through her Tax Identification Number.
Acting FRCA CEO, Visvanath Das says the drug seizure is also a warning to all those unscrupulous traders wanting to bring in illegal drugs.
The matter has been handed over to the Police for further investigations.
