The Fiji Public Service Association maintains that it will never change its stance on the Cost of Living Adjustment payments for its members.
As the FPSA reached an agreement with the Interim government to avert their looming AFL strike, General Secretary Rajeshwar Singh said they have made their stand known to the Interim Attorney General that COLA must remain as they agree with the Chairman of the Wages council that COLA and PMS are two separate issues.
Singh also adds that they no longer wish to enter talks with the Public Service Commission Chairman Rishi Ram.
The FPSA stresses that all other entities where their members are employed, that drastic action will be taken if their COLA and other claims are not met.
PSC Chairman Rishi Ram is expected to comment later today.
