FPSA Latest Annual Report
The FPSA received just over 682 thousand dollars in union subscriptions last year and according to the FPSA's latest annual report received by Fijivillage, FPSA's total income, not adding the building account, stands at 700 thousand dollars.
However their total expenditure stands at 771 thousand dollars, resulting in a 70 thousand dollars deficit.
The biggest expense recorded for the FPSA is 283 thousand 530 dollars for wages and salaries. It has been confirmed that this 283 thousand dollars is to pay for the 18 FPSA staff around the country which includes the General Secretary, Industrial Advisors and their Finance team. The breakdown of how much of the $283,530 is paid to the individual office holders is not revealed in the report.
When contacted FPSA's Finance Manager Avinesh Ram said the details of how much each staff is paid in wages and salaries cannot be made public and is only for members to know if they wish to enquire.
It has also been confirmed that the 4535 members of the FPSA pay $3 a week in subscriptions.
FPSA President, Raijeli Naruma did not want to take our calls while General Secretary, Rajeshwar Singh referred all queries to the Manager finance.
