Fiji Performing Rights Association hopes that police and relevant authorities will strictly enforce the new Copyright Amendment Decree 2009 which comes into effect tomorrow.
Association President Eremasi Tamanisau says all piracy operators should stop what they have been doing and abide by the law that has been promulgated by the government.
Under the new copy right laws, a dealer will have to prove that the music or video CD's are not pirated or face the penalties which includes a $5000 fine and 12 months imprisonment.
