The Fiji National University will mark another milestone today with the opening of its multimillion dollar campus in Namaka Nadi.
FNU Dean Dr Ganesh Chand said $45 million campus is a result of 20 years of work and will carter for over 4000 students each semester.
The new campus will have the College of Commerce, Hospitality and Tourism Studies and College of Engineering, Science and Technology and the range of courses will cover tourism and hospitality studies, aviation, and business.
Dr. Chand said the new campus will have the capacity to meet Fiji's training needs in the hospitality and aviation industry.
The campus construction, which will ultimately cost $45 million, and has been funded mainly through government grants, with some supplementary funding from savings made on the operations of the Fiji Institute of Technology.
