Seven hours of non-stop entertainment and a chance to help those affected by Cyclone Tomas, is the reasoning behind the Fiji National University=s Cyclone Tomas Appeal next week.
Coordinator of the event Laisa Vulakoro said the event held at the Vodafone Arena will feature 18 music and dance groups, and they have decided to hold this event with the aim of raising money for the PM=s Rehabilitation Funds to help affected schools in the Northern and Eastern Division.
Vulakoro said donations can be made also in cash or kind.
Meanwhile Permanent Secretary for Information said the idea to help affected schools is right in line with government’s efforts in rehabilitating the education and health sector first.
The Hurricane Tomas Appeal Concert will be held at the Vodafone Arena on the 24th of April, from 2-9pm. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children above the age of 12.
