The Fiji National Rugby League will need around $1.9 million to take the Fiji Bati team to the Rugby League World Cup later this year.
FNRL General Manager, Tomy Finau said there have been ongoing talks with potential sponsors and they are confident of meeting the budget.
However, Finau added that they are also looking at reducing their cost and they will make sure not to compromise the welfare of the players leading up to the World Cup.
Fiji is in Pool A with Australia, England and Ireland for the Rugby League World Cup in October.
