The Fiji National Rugby League is yet to finalise who will take over as the new Fiji Bati Coach after current coach Joe Rabele's contract ended last year.

FNRL Official, Rusiate Ratakele said that they are in the process of advertising the post both locally and internationally and once the new Board members are appointed, they will scrutinise the potential coaches.

At the FNRL Awards Night last week, 2008 Bati coach Joe Rabele had revealed that it was his hope that he take the Fiji Bati team to the next RLWC in 2013.

A similar sentiment was shared by Bati captain, Wes Naiqama who said that Rabele was an ideal leader as he was able to see the potential of the players and combine them which resulted in the team making history and reaching the semifinal last year.

The FNRL is expected to hold their AGM on February 7th, to appoint Board members who then select the coach for the National team.
