The Fiji National Provident Fund will be forced to operate on skeletal staff as over 200 employees who are members of the Fiji Bank and Finance Sector Union will continue their strike this morning.
Union General Secretary Pramod Rae said they expect a reply from the FNPF management later today before deciding on their next step.
Rae said the strike action was not a decision made in haste and the Union members livelihood is on the line.
FNPF Chairman Peceli Vocea along with Executives of the FNPF and some board members met late in the evening yesterday to try and find a solution to the current impasse. The FNPF Officials say a statement will be issued once a decision has been made.
