There are revelations that the amount of money paid out to the directors of the consolidated accounts for the Fiji National Provident group of companies increased by more than $300,000 for the period from 2006 to 2007.

The FNPF's 2007 annual report stated that director’s fees and allowances stood at $569,000 for the year 2006.

However, the total amount paid out for director’s fees and allowances amounted to $941,000 in the year 2007.

This was an increase of $372,000.

Chief executive Aisake Taito said the consolidated accounts include fees for directors of ATH and its subsidiaries, Home Finance Limited and also FNPF Investment Limited and its subsidiaries.

More than a month ago, Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama announced changes to the FNPF board.

Parmesh Chand, James Datta, Howard Politini, Felix Anthony and Daniel Urai were removed from the board.

The only remaining member is Labour Permanent Secretary Taito Waqa.
