Good news for employee's of the Fiji National Provident Fund who are members of the Fiji Bank and Finance Sector Employees Union as they will get a 5 percent cola payment soon.

The dispute between the FNPF and the Union has been partially settled this week after the Disputes Committee heard the matter and awarded Union members a 5% cola increase to be paid within 30 days.

The union members employed by FNPF went on strike on 13th December 2007 when FNPF refused to grant salary adjustments for 2005 and 2006, performance salary increments and bonuses for 2007.

The Union Secretary, Pramod Rae said they are happy with the decision.
