Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) is aware that some people are trying to take advantage of the assistance being provided to members whose property suffered extensive damages during the flash floods in the Western, Eastern and Northern divisions.
FNPF CEO Aisake Taito told Fijivillage that people will try to scheme their way into withdrawing from the accounts, however they are closely scrutinizing each application.
Taito said they are also working with DISMAC and the District Officers to identify those who would qualify for assistance.
Fijivillage had come across a number of people from around the Suva area standing in a queue outside the FNPF Office in Suva, who were applying to withdraw money from their account under the pretext that their property suffered damages during the flood.
