Police have ordered the Fiji National Provident Fund to obtain a court order before taking over the Yatule Island Resort.
The Officer-In-Charge of the Sigatoka Police Station has confirmed that the FNPF was supposed to take over the resort today, however, police were called in and it was stated that FNPF to obtain a court order.
Police ordered the FNPF officials not to forcibly enter the resort compound as it could create unnecessary tension between the landowners and them.
Police are also monitoring the situation.
