Police maintain that the Fiji National Provident Fund needs a court order to move into the Yatule Island Resort in Natadola.
Officer-In-Charge Sigatoka Police, ASP Salacieli Naiviliwasa has confirmed that the landowners and APRIL Development came to a common ground in securing the lease of Yatule Island Resort, and some factions of the landowning unit only know APRIL Development.
According to ASP Salacieli, some of the landowners are also surprised with the way FNPF is handling the matter.
However, he has assured that everything is under control and the matter is being investigated by police.
Meanwhile, FNPF Board member and Project chairman, Felix Anthony said they do not need a court order.
FNPF was supposed to take over the resort today, however, police were called in and it was stated that FNPF to obtain a court order.
