The Fiji Nursing Association has proposed a reassessment of the extension of opening hours for Health Centres, to the Health Minister.
This has been revealed by Association General Secretary Kuini Lutua while responding to concerns raised from members of the public on there being no fixed opening and closing times for the past two months at the Raiwaqa Health Centre.
Lutua said this is a result of there being less health workers in the country.
The Raiwaqa Health centre was one of three centres chosen to open for extended hours from 6am to 10pm on weekdays and 8am to 4pm on weekends, to decrease the number of people being treated at the CWM Hospital Outpatient Unit.
Health Ministry Spokesperson, Iliesa Tora earlier said they would investigate the matter.
