The Fiji Netball Association is eagerly awaiting a reply from the International Federation of Netball Association, for a positive response in relation to their request to include former Silver Ferns defender, Vilimaina Davu, in the Fiji Team squad to the World Netball Championships in New Zealand.
When contacted by Village sports, Davu who is still eligible to represent Fiji at the games, will wait for the ruling from IFNA on the stand-down period, before making a decision.
Meanwhile, Team Manager Asenaca Waqanivavalagi said that an official announcement will be made at their Sunday lunch after a farewell church service at the World Harvest Centre on Sunday.
Fiji is ranked second in Pool B of the Championship, with Jamaica as the top seed and Singapore and Cook Islands as the other two teams.
Fiji's opening pool game is against Singapore on the 11th of November.
The 2007 World Netball Championship which will be held in Waitakere Trusts Stadium, will start next week on Saturday.
