The Interim Prime Minister is now saying that it would be impractical to meet with the Fiji Nursing Association if they are maintaining that the full 5 percent pay cut should be restored for nurses.

As we enter day six of the nurse’s strike, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said he will only meet with FNA General Secretary Kuini Lutua when she is willing to understand the interim government's point of view.

He said he understands that the nurse’s demands have not been taken seriously over the past years but he will ensure that all the issues are addressed in due course.
