Most of the nurses who are members of the Fiji Nursing Association have not returned to work this morning as announced by the association on Thursday after calling off their strike.
At the Nausori Health Center, the striking nurses were suppose to start work in the last hour however the officials are still waiting for their arrival. Only nurses working this morning are those who did 12 hour shifts.
Nurses in Tailevu Health Centre started their shifts an hour later than expected.
The Divisional medical officer Western, Dr. Eloni Tora says the normal weekend services have begun in some Western Hospitals and health Centers. Details at this stage are still being gathered.
In Ba senior officials are still awaiting nurses to resume their duties this morning. According to Officials, nurses are believed to start work proper on Monday instead of today as announced by the FNA.
