Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua said that they were hoping that Flour Mills of Fiji would renew their sponsorship with them when their contract ended in June.
Speaking to Village Sports, Tavanavanua said that the FRU was caught by surprise to receive the news that FMF has ended its contract with them as they believe that their performance in the Rugby World Cup was a major boost to the company.
Tavanavanua said the FRU will now have to re-look at their strategies and move forward.
Meanwhile, the contract between Flour Mills of Fiji and the Fiji Rugby Union expires on 1st June, 2008.
