The Flour Mills of Fiji has today confirmed that they have complied with the SCC and Environment Health Department's requirements in relation to the dumping of the peas from the collapsed silo which claimed the life of 23yr old Malakai Ratubuli early last month.
Project Manager Jim Taniela said Ecolab officials are currently at the site carrying out an analysis of the area. He adds work should start this hour to address the issue.
Residents living in the Walu Bay area near the river where the peas were dumped have complained of the smell which they claim resulted in some falling sick.
