FLS Council Should Step In: Fa
Isireli Fa said when Naidu campaigned for the president's position, his platform was that he will have an open dialogue with the Judiciary, the Attorney General Chambers and the government.
However, Fa said there seems to be no dialogue or it may have broken down and Naidu should repair the dialogue in the interest of law and order in the country.
Fa said the court order has to be followed.
Dorsami Naidu has been served with court papers demanding payment of court costs.
The court costs in the amount of $12,100 with interest and enforcement costs were granted to the State as a result of Naidu's failed application when he was representing Angie Heffernan in her case in 2007 and last year. However, Dorsami Naidu told Fijivillage earlier this week that he is not willing to pay.
The Solicitor General Christopher Pryde said they will leave no stone unturned to recover the court costs as court orders need to be respected and the Naidu is no exception. He said everyone, irrespective of the position they hold, should respect the court orders.
