The Fiji Labour Party's (FLP) National Council is not happy with the proposal to dissolve the Sugar Commission of Fiji and the Fiji Sugar Marketing Commission.
The party met at Nawai Secondary School yesterday discussing the state of the economy and the President's Political Forum.
Leader Mahendra Chaudhry told Fijivillage the party believes government should increase its assistance towards the sugar industry.
He added issues in relation to holding elections were also discussed.
