The Fiji Labour Party's National Council met at Nawai Secondary School today and discussed the state of the economy.
Labour Leader Mahendra Chaudhry told Fijivillage that the convening of the President's Political Forum as soon as possible and the holding of elections were also discussed.
Chaudhry added that the Sugar Industry reform were main issues discussed in the meeting as the party believes government should increase its assistance towards the sugar industry.
Majority of the former members of parliament for the Labour party have been invited to the meeting.
