The Qase ni Vale to the Qaranivalu and Fiji Labour Party official, Maika Moroca has strongly opposed the decision by the Bose Vanua of Naitasiri not to submit any names to the new look Great Council of Chiefs.
Speaking to Fijivillage, Moroca said Naitasiri is one of the biggest provinces in the country and the voice of their chiefs who represent the people of Naitasiri will no longer be heard in the Great Council of Chiefs.
When questioned by Legend FM News on whether he has discussed the matter with the Qaranivalu, Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Moroca confirmed that he is yet to make the approach.
Roko Tui Naitasiri, Ratu Jo Navakaroko said they have followed the proper procedure outlined by the interim government that the GCC members should be decided by the Bose Vanua.
He said the Naitasiri Bose Vanua has met and decided that they will not submit any names and he will respect that.
