Delegates of the Fiji Labour Party meet in Nadi this morning where the draft of the Peoples Charter and the future direction of the party is expected to be discussed.

FLP President Jokapeci Koroi when contacted by Fijivillage news said that the only item on the agenda is to inform the FLP members of the contents of the draft Charter.

However, when questioned, Koroi said members will be allowed to raise their concerns over the recent speculations that Interim Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry will resign from cabinet.

It was confirmed earlier that the FLP delegates are also to discuss whether the FLP should remain in the interim cabinet or ask its members to step down to prepare for the general elections.

Our reporter Gulsher Ali in Nadi said the media is being kept away from the meeting venue and officials are tightlipped on what is being discussed at the moment.

We'll have more on the FLP meeting later this afternoon.
