A new Chief Executive for the Fiji Islands Visitors Bureau has been announced today.

Josefa Tuamoto has been appointed FVIB chief and will also take up the role of FVIB International Director Marketing.

Board Chairman, Patrick Wong said Tuamoto had earlier played a key role in the re-branding of the organisation and was the first indigenous Fijian to head the multi-million dollar company.

Tuamoto said his return to FVIB is an opportunity to assist in the unity of the country by the further development of tourism after valuable commercial sector experience.

Meanwhile, Tuamoto resigned as Blue Lagoon Cruises Limited General Manager to take up the positions and Board Chairman Sereana Qoro said as a result the Fijian Holdings Limited management will oversee the operations of Blue Lagoon Cruises as it is a subsidiary of FHL.
