The Fiji Institute of Technology is travelling on a new path as they are expected to include 10 courses on the Department of Film and Television come next year.
The courses will run for one year consisting of three trimesters with each consisting of 12 weeks.
The courses include a General Certificate Diploma in screenplay writing, acting and film and TV production.
Director FIT Garnesh Chand said the construction of the studio has been re-designed at the Raiwai FIT campus.
Chand said they have the people already who have the experience in the film industry who will upgrade the department.
Additionally short course from 2-4 weeks will also run to suite needs of students and industry stakeholders.
