Fiji's two well known music artists have been recruited by the Fiji Institute of Technology to take the music programmes to another level.
Seru Serevi, who is known as the Vude King, and Laisa Vulakoro are amongst the 16 new staff who have been recruited.
FIT director Dr Ganesh Chand while making the announcement said that the two artists have vast experience in the music industry, which will assist the students to understand and appreciate music.
Dr Chand also said the music industry is a multibillion dollar industry globally and Fiji can gain a lot.
Meanwhile, FIT also announced the appointment of Dr Ram Karan as Professor and Head of the Accounting Department.
Professor Karan is also the author of the accounting text book Accounting:A Balance Sheet Approach, published by Longman Paul.
Dr Kunneth Ram-Krishnan was appointed as the head of Management Studies.
