The Westech Mining Director said they will continue their talks with the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority to sort things out in relation to their first gold export shipment.
Brian Wesson said they have to pay their people and is hoping to find a solution soon.
The previous owners of the Vatukoula mines, Emperor Gold Mining Limited owes a total of $10 million dollars in taxes and $750,000 of this has been paid by the current owners Westech Gold Mining Company.
However Wesson believes that they do not owe FIRCA the said amount of taxes.
