The Fiji Island Revenue Customs Authority has today refused to reveal any details on the amount of tax owed by Emperor Gold Mining Limited.

Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Acting Chief Executive officer, Parmod Archary said they are bound by their Secrecy Provision under the tax legislation.

The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority had frozen bank accounts belonging to mining company, Westech Limited for the recovery of taxes owed by previous owners Emperor Gold Mines.

However, Brian Wesson the Director for Westech mining said the company and their auditors, Price water House Coopers are still trying to determine the amount owed by Emperor Gold Mining Company Limited.
