Remote areas will benefit from the expertise of the second batch of 6 Japan International Cooperation Agency Volunteers who arrived into the country last week.
This is the message from JICA Alumni President and Fiji Island Revenue and Customs Authority Chief Executive Officer Jitoko Tikolevu who welcomed the volunteers.
Meanwhile, a volunteer Tadashi Arai who will work with Fiji Electricity Authority as part of the renewable energy programme said he is looking forward to the 2 years he will be in Fiji.
The volunteers will work in fields of rural development, carpentry, renewable energy, computer technology and medical instruments.
The volunteers’ would be staying in Fiji for a period of five months to three years.
