The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority is expected to meet with the legal representatives of Westech Mining Limited this afternoon on taxation issues.
FIRCA CEO, Jitoko Tikolevu confirms they are going to meet with them soon as they owe a very large sum of money in taxes.

This morning Director of Westech Gold Limited, Brian Wesson told Village News that he is still in the dark on why the Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority has stopped their gold exports.
Brian Wesson said he will contact FIRCA officials to get a briefing as talks are still continuing on the $10 million tax owed by the previous owners of the Vatukoula mines, Emperor Gold Mining Limited.
Westech has paid $750,000 as overdue taxes.
