He also revealed that FIRCA had suspended 3 officers on the claim that they had released files pertaining to the allegations to the local media.

Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama revealed earlier to Village News that he will not sack any interim minister following allegations of tax evasion.

Commodore Bainimarama said it would be unfair to make any such decisions based on the claims made by certain people.

FIRCA Chairman, Filipe Bole also confirms that the suspension of six officers from duty has nothing do to with the unsubstantiated allegations in a newspaper report. Bole clarifies that these officers were suspended because of breaches of FIRCA's code of conduct and for their involvement in approving tax refunds from which they made personal gains along with their accomplices.
