FIRCA office opened in Savusavu
Those are the words of Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama while opening the new Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority office this morning in Savusavu.
Bainimarama added that the opening of the office signals change and demonstrates improved service delivery, better turnaround times, and building a streamlined system based on technology.
Commodore Bainimarama while addressing stakeholders in Savusavu said the opening of the office is timely taking into account the fact that visitor arrivals into the country have picked up.
Commodore Bainimarama said all these developments compliment the declaration of Vanua Levu as part of the tax free region.
He also called on the people to work together to make Savusavu a success adding a fine example was the tourism sector in Savusavu partnering with the public private partnership to further develop the Savusavu airport runway.
The Prime Minister is currently on a tour of the North and is expected to meet with the business community in Labasa tonight.
