The Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Officers and staff Association has raised concerns on the plans by the interim government to restructure FIRCA.

The Association claims the customs operation and its experienced staff have been sidelined to accommodate others who have no knowledge and experience in customs work.

Associations General Secretary Kenneth Zinck said there had not been any discussions with the union on the issue and the Interim Finance Minister should not have gone ahead directing the restructure of FIRCA.
