Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority Chief Executive, Tevita Banuve is expected to be asked to resign by the interim government.

Village News has been reliably informed that Banuve will be formally informed later today.

Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner of the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption Lt. Colonel George Langman has confirmed his officers were sent to Waisomo house which houses the Inland Revenue department yesterday afternoon.

Langman said it was a normal search as they need to obtain some documents in relation to certain investigations.

The road leading to Waisomo house was sealed off with the assistance of Military and Police Officers.

Military Spokesperson Major Neumi Leweni confirmed that Military was asked to assist in the operation this afternoon.
