TFL customers will not be able to call various countries using the 00 service as a result of FINTEL's decision to block International calls.

TFL in a statement issued this afternoon said they are currently working on providing access to the rest of the countries blocked including some Pacific Island countries.

It said although customers are able to gain international access through TFL's 052 and 021 service, not all the countries are accessible.

It said the situation is beyond TFL's control. It is still not clear why FINTEL has decided to block calls to countries including :- Cook Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Palau on fixed and mobile lines, Niue, Papua New Guinea, North Korea, Norfolk, Myanmar, Liberia, Jamaica, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan.
